 A great performance is often the product of great chemistry between the performers. With A x R’, chemistry is never a problem. This husband and wife team’s presence is always a joy to watch. Be it the latest pop hits or nostalgic tunes from the days gone by, A x R’ takes beloved crowd favourites and adds a dash of individuality you will not find elsewhere.

Yi Mann started studying the Gu Zheng at the age of 5 and is a seasoned performer with more than 25 years of experience on stage. Her classical training allowed her to participate in various competitions and she was crowned the Malaysian Champion. Yi Mann eventually represented Malaysia in Hong Kong for the International Gu Zheng Competition taking home the Silver medal in the competition.

A rebel at heart, Alex’s interest in music started early and he had picked up different instruments at a young age. Together with a few friends, he formed an indie band and won several Battle of the Bands as well as recorded a Rock album together. In the course of his career, he collaborated with international artistes and performed all around the world. Now, he performs together with Yi Mann using multiple instruments, contributing to A x R’s unique signature and quirky upbeat sound.
