About CloudTheatre & CloudTix
CloudTheatre is a digital theatre for arts and culture shows. Co-founded in May 2020 by Malaysian theatre practitioners Dennis Lee, William Yap, and Kevin Teh, CloudTheatre has successfully brought the physical theatre experience online, by mimicking physical theatre experiences like front-of-house ticket checking, lounge area, live chat, live voting, and post-show dialogue.
Six months later, CloudTix was born as a digital ticketing engine for online and on-ground performing arts and culture shows. Built from the ground up, CloudTix focuses on ease-of-use, speed, simplicity, and transparency, something that are lacking in conventional commercial ticketing platforms.
Within the first two years, CloudTheatre and CloudTix progressed by leaps and bounds with over 150 shows and sold over 30,000 tickets to audiences from over 60 countries worldwide.
Overseas Expansion
CloudTheatre fostered a partnership with Taiwan to explore the opportunity of expanding CloudTheatre’s reach to Taiwanese audiences by localising the platform for the Taiwanese market with a global vision.
Startup Awards Winner
In 2020, CloudTheatre won the Startup Awards — Media & Entertainment by TechNode Global ORIGIN Innovation Awards.
