About This Event

Flute Encounters is a two-day flute residency taking place on 11–12 April 2026 in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, featuring internationally renowned flutist Paul Edmund-Davies. The programme combines private and open masterclasses with two public evening sessions: an artist lecture on Saturday and an intimate recital on Sunday. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience both the artistry and teaching philosophy of a distinguished musician in a close and reflective setting.

Designed as a community-based initiative, Flute Encounters aims to bring together students, teachers, families, and music lovers through meaningful musical engagement. Advanced and pre-professional flutists will work closely with the visiting artist in focused studio sessions, while junior learners and the wider public are invited to observe selected masterclasses and attend the evening events. With limited seating to preserve an intimate atmosphere, the residency offers a rare opportunity to learn, listen, and connect through music.
