About This Event

The project lays the foundation for:

• A community-rooted arts ecosystem, where the site becomes co-managed and co-activated by a network of participating artists, students, and local cultural groups.

• Strengthened ties with existing on-site communities, traders, creative collectives, and heritage advocates to co-sustain programming after the 6-month cycle ends.

• A place-based brand identity — KL Riverbank as the emerging art hub of Kuala Lumpur, organically shaped by those who use it.

As the project builds visibility and cultural relevance, it positions the space as a flagship creative site aligned with national cultural initiatives — including Visit Malaysia Year 2026 — offering both locals and tourists a unique, participatory art experience rooted in heritage.
