About This Event
We will be doing a day-long reading of some little known but we think iconic plays from 1960s Malaysia. Everyone is invited! There are no rehearsals, no pressure, just pleasure in hearing words and stories. You can be a reader or listener or both. Titles include A Tiger is Loose in Our Community by Edward Dorrall, Three Men, A Woman and an Explosion by Lee Joo For, Tamu di Bukit Kenny by Usman Awang and maybe more...
10.30am - 12.30pm Play Reading 1
2.00 - 4.00pm Play Reading 2
4.30 - 6.30pm Play Reading 3
Each session, we might read different excerpts from different plays.
Limited printed copies for reading will be available to reduce the paper printing. While we will project the script on screen, we encourage you to bring a bigger reading device eg ipad/tab/laptop instead of just your phone.
In collaboration with the Malaysia Design Archive (MDA) as part of their reading group initiative.
