Set to Ignite Kuala Lumpur in December 2025

Kuala Lumpur, September 2025 — Dreaming of becoming the next K-Pop star? After the tremendous success of its Jakarta debut earlier this year, SM Universe K-Pop Rising Star Search competition is making its way to Malaysia this December 2025 — and this time, it will be held at the Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC)!

As the premier end-to-end K-Pop training academy in Southeast Asia, SM Universe (Singapore) has been providing authentic K-pop trainee-style training — from vocals, dance, music production, to stage performance. With the growing wave of young talents across the region, the Malaysia edition, focusing on young dance talents, promises to be an even more exciting platform to spotlight aspiring K-Pop stars.

Who Can Join?

The competition is open to anyone across Malaysia aged 8–18 years. If you’re passionate about dancing , this is your chance to step into the spotlight.

What’s at Stake?

The winners will earn an exclusive on-week training scholarship at SM Universe (Singapore) worth up to SGD 1,500, training directly with SM Universe expert trainers from South Korea. This isn’t just a training scholarship, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take your first real step into the K-Pop industry.
