About This Event

Join award-winning investigative journalist Ian Yee and acclaimed director Saw Teong Hin (Puteri Gunung Ledang, You Mean the World to Me) for a powerful workshop exploring how stories can change the world.

From uncovering hidden truths to crafting emotional visual narratives, this workshop invites participants to explore storytelling from two compelling lenses:

Ian Yee will guide you through the art of ethical investigative storytelling—how to find real stories, conduct responsible interviews, and protect the voices you amplify.

Saw Teong Hin will unpack the process of translating raw emotion into screen-ready scripts—revealing how to build dramatic tension, shape narratives, and honour heritage through cinematic language.

Whether you are a filmmaker, writer, activist, educator, or creative professional, this is your opportunity to learn from two of Malaysia’s most impactful storytellers.
