Straddle #2025 - MY BODY IS A KAMPUNG an Open-Studio sharing by Lee Ren Xin

My Body is a kampung.

In this Open Studio, I re-excavate ANGGOTA I & II to possibly extend into a part of Re-Public. An overarching interest is sourcing from this body in connection to being here on this land, and how we could co-shape the shared space through the internal worlds of our bodies. 

Notes from ANGGOTA (2022, 2023):

Our bodies bring into presence the lineages of all the bodies before this one. 

These kampongs are here, now, in this room, because we are here, now. 

Notes from Re-Public 2024:

We carry kampongs with us, in our bodies. Cultural patterns, collective response patterns. 

I invite us to be curious about our kampongs meeting each others’ kampongs.
