One day, while Bawang Merah was singing in the forest, the King, heard her enchanting voice. Captivated, he sent his men to find the girl behind the melody. Mak Kundur tried to deceive King by presenting Bawang Putih instead, but the truth was revealed, and the King chose Bawang Merah as his queen.
