HANNAH

Zakk A. Rahman presents, HANNAH and SOLOS (palindrome films), a 25-minutes presentation on an experimental approach to dancing, movement, films, design and music. Palindrome—introduced by Henry Percham in 1638, derived from the Greek word palindromos (to run again) where the word meaning palin (back, again) (palin) and dromo/- (to run)—applies to words, numbers, or phrases that read the same forwards from the beginning and backward from the end (for example, “racecar”). This series questions the idea of circular, loop and inadvertently, palindrome, on how we observe, listen, define and experience the genre, and how it applies to mediums such as dance, film, design and music.

Conditions of Entry
