About This Event

🌊✨ When the world paused in 2020, nature took a breath. Photojournalist SC Shekar watched from his window as the skies cleared and rivers teemed with life again. Fish darted in crystal-clear waters, birds returned, and wildlife thrived, a powerful reminder of humanity’s impact—and the resilience of nature.

This moment inspired "Sacred Currents," Shekar’s project dedicated to Malaysia’s life-giving rivers. These rivers, woven with stories of generations and biodiversity, reveal more than just landscapes; they reflect our collective values and consciousness. Through his work, Shekar urges society to rethink our relationship with rivers, advocating for environmental stewardship against pollution and deforestation.
