Join us for an unforgettable night of theatre as KL Shakespeare Players (KLSP) bring their celebrated production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Kuching! Whether you’re familiar with Shakespeare or new to his works, this lively and hilarious performance will have you laughing out loud and falling in love with the Bard’s timeless storytelling.

When this production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream premiered in Penang and KL in February 2020, it had audiences roaring with laughter.

KL Shakespeare Players (KLSP) is the only theatre company in Malaysia that regularly presents the Bard’s works, with the mission to make them accessible to all levels of audience without dumbing down. Since 2011, teachers have regularly told us that our shows have done 50% of their work. Even adults often comment that, thanks to our show, they understand for the first time some of the difficult passage and scenes. 

Our unique Shakespeare Demystified format--the weaving together of canonical scenes in Shakespeare’s original text with narration in contemporary English--allows anyone unfamiliar with Shakespeare to appreciate the story, key themes and some analyses without much prior preparation.
