Fang-Yi Sheu is a renowned Taiwanese dancer celebrated in the international dance community for her exceptional skill and profound dance artistry. She has served as the principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company in the United States and is recognized as a protégé of Martha Graham. She also had a tenure with Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan. After leaving the dance companies, Sheu has been active on the international stage, dedicating herself to dance creation and choreography, and collaborating with female artists worldwide. Her works blend traditional and modern elements, showcasing her deep understanding and unique insights into the art of dance.

Fang-Yi Sheu has performed on many prestigious stages globally, including in New York, London, and Paris, earning widespread acclaim. She is not only an outstanding performing artist but also a significant figure in dance education, committed to nurturing the next generation of dance talent.

In recent years, Sheu has ventured into film and television, both in front of and behind the camera. She has worked on productions such as "The Making of an Ordinary Woman 2," "The Assassin," and "Touch of the Light," and has been involved in VR and screenwriting projects. In 2012, she launched the "超快乐运动 Dance Your Happiness" campaign, promoting dance throughout Taiwan's cities and towns. This initiative encourages people to engage in healthy movement through music and simple body movements.

Fang-Yi Sheu has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Golden Bell Award in 2005 and the National Award for Arts in 2007. In 2022, she became the youngest recipient of the Golden Horse Award for Best Action Choreography for her work in the film " Salute" and she also received the Best Action Design award at the 59th Golden Horse Awards.
