A feast of art songs and arias from around the globe performed by an international line-up of young artists. Program includes songs from Schumann, Strauss, Sibelius, Chenwei Wang, our homegrown composer, Tazul Tajuddin and opera favourites from Mozart, Saint-Säens, Puccini, Verdi, Lehar and more.

About This Event

KL City Opera is proud to be collaborating with Opera Festival Asia in presenting a concert, "Opera A la Carté" featuring 9 artistes from around the world including 4 representative from Malaysia, tenor Foo Chen Gui, baritone James Long and mezzo soprano, Yi Ling Chaing together with pianist, Fairuz Zamani. Joining them are mezzo soprano Amelie Alù from France, soprano Priya Pariyachart from Thailand, counter tenor Bingxi Wu from China and pianist Vladyslav Demchenko from Ukraine. This collaboration is made possible with the coordination by Singapore stage director, Heather Tan and the Augsburg Staatstheater.

Note: Ms Anija Lombard had to withdraw from the concert due to a medical emergency and she is very sorry she couldn't be with us and for any inconvenience caused.
