About This Event

Breaking Social (2023)

‘Breaking Social’ explores the possibilities of overcoming injustice and corruption. A film
about reimagining the building blocks of our societies and igniting seeds of hope that live within each of us. This film looks at global patterns of ‘kleptocracy’ (a corrupt government which uses its political power to exploit the wealth of their people and country) and 'extractivism’ (the removal of natural resources particularly for export with minimal processing). When people reach a tipping point, they start to organize and protest. The film will show us the situation of those fighting at the frontlines of social uprisings across the world.
