8TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

The Academy provides ballet training in the Vaganova-based method, well known among full-time ballet academies worldwide for students who aspire to pursue dance as a career. As a performance-based school, we encourage children to find joy in self-expression and imagination that only exists in the very moment given on stage.

The program opens with Harlequinade Grand pas de deux followed by The Ugly Duckling;, an original full-length children  &; ballet based on a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.

Part two presents ‘The Dream Scene from Act 2 Don Quixote featuring award winners Adia Sofia as Dulcenia, Kyra Wong as Queen of Dryads and Ling Jong Yi as Cupid, Pas d'Esclaves Grand pas de deux; from Le Corsaire, ‘Blue Bird Grand pas de deux from The Sleeping Beauty and ‘Sylvia Grand pas de deux performed by Rino Fujihashi and guest artiste, Dominic Lor. There will also be a contemporary work, ‘Black & White’ performed by the senior class students.
